As you probably know, the EU has finalized negotiations for an economic partnership agreement (EPA) with Japan.
EU firms already export over €58bn in goods and €28bn in services to Japan every year.
But European firms face trade barriers when exporting to Japan which makes it hard for them to compete.
The EPA with Japan will:
- remove these barriers
- help us shape global trade rules in line with our high standards and shared values
- send a powerful signal that two of the world’s biggest economies reject protectionism.
In this framework, the three regional trade agencies of Belgium, Brussels Invest & Export by hub.brussels, Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) and Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) are organizing a seminar in order to assist the Belgian companies to seize further opportunities from the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between Europe and Japan in its policy and technical insights.
