Project overal objectives
The JEWEL project, “Joint nEtWork for European net-zero manufacturing Leadership” aims to
- Accelerate the net-zero transition in European manufacturing
- Support innovative SMEs in adopting clean and digital technologies
- Build a European meta-cluster for cooperation and strategic influence
Key Activities
In concrete terms, it will provide companies with
- Knowledge Hub: workshops, mentoring, knowledge sharing about NZT and circular economy topics
- Project Factory: stimulating collaborative projects linking SMEs, corporates, experts
- Funding Window: direct funding of innovative projects
3 target sectors
Selected candidates will benefit from unique opportunities to develop applications in the key sectors of
- Defence & Space
- Energy-Intensive Industries
- Mobility, automotive and tranporte
Net-Zero Technologies
4 NZT topics, applied to the manufacturing sector, are the priorities of the project:
- Batteries & Energy storage
- Hydrogen and fuel cells
- Electricity grid
Transformative industrial technologies for decarbonisation (incl. renewable energy)

Budget
It includes nearly €2 million in direct funding, which will be distributed during 3 open calls.

The JEWEL project was launched on October 1st 2025.
